Ep. 176 Matt Labucki – 2nd is Last in Comedy
- Matt Labucki - 2nd is Last in Comedy
The most handsome comedian in all of Edmonton and all-around germaphobe, Matt Labucki, drops in this week on the Quik & Slow Comedy Show. He is just in time, too, because the basement flooded with shit! Matt hates that. It looks like old Nick McQuik‘s pipes backed up and the line couldn’t handle his load of dirty poop water. It also smelled like Aaron‘s breath and was as soft to touch as the soggy hair-flesh he calls his abs. Not to worry, though. Disaster is averted when Quik & Slow innovative prowess is activated and the show is moved upstairs.
This is the first episode to be recorded in the light of day…and what a day it becomes! Labucki shares his seemingly infinite wisdom on the subjective nature of comedy contests, explains how to turn a bad room around in one set, and what it’s like starting up in comedy in three different cities. Most important, is Matt outlines how George Lucas went from being a genius to a big piece of shit. This show has it all!
Aaron and Nick are joined by the maniacal heretics of Nathan Semenyna, the lovely company of media intern, Jamee Nall, our director of all things sound related, Sam Watterworth, and the early arrival of next week’s guest, Danny Martinello.
The whole team here at the Quik & Slow Comedy Show hope listeners enjoy this episode and want to thank everyone for tuning in! Enjoy.
